
4-H Scholarship Recipients
California
Ted Pedrozo - Ted is a 4-H member from Merced County. Ted has held various offices while a 4-H member including President, Vice President, Historian, Recreation, and Sergeant at Arms. He also worked as a 4-H summer camp counselor and won the Gold Medal for Historian Record Book County Level. Ted is currently attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and is majoring in Business Marketing. One day, he would like to start his own farming business.
Illinois

Jaylene Jennings - Jaylene is a 10 year 4-H member from the Green Meadow 4-H Club in Dekalb County. While a member, Jaylene served as President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Reporter of 4-H and as FFA President and Treasurer. She worked on a number of committees and has been very active in swine projects. Jaylene has also been involved in the National Junior Swine Association and the Illinois Club Pig Association. Her work with swine also gave her the opportunity to be a part of the 2011 Illinois State 4-H Livestock Skillathon Team which competed at the North American International Livestock Exposition. Jaylene plans on majoring in Microbiology and eventually wants to be a veterinarian. She would also like to start her own 4-H chapter one day.
Indiana

Kelly Beeker - Kelly is a 9-year 4-H member from Hancock County, IN. She has been involved in a number of projects, including nine years in Foods, Sewing, and Basic Crafts. She has also done extensive volunteer work with a time spent at the local soup kitchen, Edelweiss Equine-Assisted Therapy Center, and with the organization Clothe-A-Child. After she graduates, Kelly plans on attending Purdue University and majoring in Agricultural Communications.
Iowa

Jessica Hammerand- Jessica is a 4-H member from Dubuque County. While a member, she served as vice president, secretary, and treasurer and was also a member of the Champion Dairy Judging Team. She also a representative to National Dairy Conference and a Dairy Quiz Bowl Champion. Jessica is a junior at Iowa State where is she double majoring in dairy science and biology. Her goal is to help feed the world, improve animal health and productivity, preserve natural resources, and promote the dairy industry by educating and supplying the public with a safe and healthy product.
Minnesota
Matt Dell - Matt is a freshman at the University of Minnesota. He currently studying civil engineering. Once he graduates, Matt would like to continue raising beef cattle.
Stacey Glaess - Stacey is a freshman at the University of Minnesota. She plans to major in Pre-vet.
Wisconsin

Cole Mark - Cole is a 4-H member from Pierce County. Cole grew up on his family's dairy farm and has shown cattle, judged cattle and participated in a number of other dairy industries opportunities. He has been a member of National Honor Society for three years and has served as the President of FFA. Cole plans to attend UW River Falls to pursue an Animal Science Degree in the pre-veterinary program and then attend wither the University of Minnesota or UW Madison to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree.
