From a simple but brilliant idea - putting paint into a convenient hand-held marker - to an array of thousands of products, LA-CO / Markal has led the way in marking, plumbing chemicals and livestock identification technology for 75 years. With the development of unique specialty chemical products that meet demanding industrial applications, the LA-CO and Markal brands have become the leaders in the industries they serve.

LA-CO is a performance-based company. Performance in the products we manufacture; in the service to our customers; and in our people, who are our most important resource. Our company's success has been founded on the belief that first and foremost we listen to our customers. Once we determine their future needs, then we can develop high performance products that meet or exceed those needs. We continue to make extensive investments in new equipment and manufacturing processes and in new product research to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers.

Today LA-CO and Markal branded products are sold through over 6,500 distributors around the world in over 50 countries. This extensive network allows us to provide the highest level of service to our customers.
